JC Hagen GmbH offers biodegradable PLA- and starch-based compounds. The product family name is ECOPOND. Grade FLEX-162 is starch based while FLEX-262 is a more innovative PLA-based compound. Both grades are easily processed on standard LDPE blown film machinery and converting equiqment. Componds and films are certified biodegradable according to DIN 13432 both by DIN Certco and VINCOTTE as OK-compost. Applications for both materials include thin gauge compost bags, vest style carrier bags and larger shopping bags with soft loop handle, flexible packaging films as well as films for agriculture.
